Agriturismo Le Ragnaie

Positive : great location, nice premises. Cons : in our room (n1, classic) there is no sense of privacy as the windows are giving view to the main passway. You always have to close the window shutter to have privacy, so it is very dark inside. The air conditioning was not functioning and despite 3 request to staff, nothing was done. It is also the only accommodation we went to in Tuscany that did not have mosquito nets. This coupled with the non functioning AC meant we were devoured by mosquitos. On the last day of our 4nights stay, we noticed a lot of 'hair' growing on the wall of the bathroom and adjacent to the bed. When we informed the staff of the obvious humidity problem (which then explain the mold humid foul smell) they say ' ah ye, we noticed' and that's all. Obviously, it appears they just clean the mould between visitors but do not treat the cause of the humidity leak. Aside from aknowleding the problem, no excuse or compensation was provided. The swimming pool is looking very nice but poorly maintained. The robot is ALWAYS inside yet the pool is dirty. Breakfast was nice but repetitive and the only coffee option was moka pot, they did not offer cappuccino. Overall disappointed, the ratio price/quality was not met.

We had the the room on the second floor overlooking part of the vineyard. Plenty of space and a balcony. The room we stayed in had beautiful views and was clean and just so comfortable. It feels like your own little home on a vineyard. The breakfast was amazing with so many good choice of meats, cheese, pastries etc. and the staff is truly kind, warm and wonderful. The Italian women, I believe her name is Veronica, went out of her way to help us find wineries we can tour and experience tasting. And near the end of breakfast period, we weren’t rushed and they weren’t putting the food away. They let us enjoy our breakfast. I would absolutely come back!
